Publication Ethics

LINGUAVERSE: Journal of English Studies is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics. This statement is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and applies to all parties involved in the publishing process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.


Duties of Authors

Authors are expected to:

– Submit original manuscripts that have not been published previously and are not under consideration elsewhere.
– Properly cite all sources and references used in the manuscript.
– Ensure that the submitted work is free from plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification.
– Accurately present research data and results.
– Acknowledge all contributors and list only those who significantly contributed as authors.
– Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
– Promptly notify the editor if a significant error is discovered after publication.


Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

– Making publication decisions based on academic merit and relevance to the journal’s scope.
– Ensuring a fair, unbiased, and confidential peer-review process.
– Maintaining the anonymity of reviewers and authors in the double-blind review system.
– Preventing conflicts of interest and handling ethical complaints appropriately.
– Taking reasonable steps to identify and prevent publication misconduct.


Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

– Conduct objective and constructive evaluations.
– Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
– Identify relevant published work that has not been cited.
– Inform the editor of any suspected plagiarism or ethical issues.
– Declare conflicts of interest and decline review if necessary.


Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts submitted to LINGUAVERSE will be screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20% will be rejected or returned to authors for revision.


Ethical Oversight

Any form of unethical publishing behavior, including plagiarism, duplicate submission, or data manipulation, is unacceptable. The editorial board will take appropriate action in accordance with COPE guidelines, which may include manuscript rejection or retraction of published articles.


Complaints and Appeals

Authors may submit complaints or appeals regarding editorial decisions by contacting the journal management team. All complaints will be handled transparently and fairly.
